Nilan ventilation units with heat recovery, compact units with heat pump as well as filters, controls and accessories from the Danish manufacturer Nilan A/S based in Hedensted. The range extends from the shallow Comfort 200 Top for flats to the Comfort 5000 for schools and businesses with up to 5300 m³/h.

Nilan Comfort: ventilation units with counterflow heat exchanger

The Comfort units recover the heat of the extract air via a counterflow heat exchanger and are operated via the CTS602 controller with HMI panel. According to Nilan, the ventilation demand is up to 308 m³/h for the Comfort 200 Top, up to 500 m³/h for the Comfort CT200 and CT500, up to 400 m³/h for the Comfort 300LR, up to 372 m³/h for the Comfort 350 (Top, L and R), up to 525 m³/h for the Comfort 450 and up to 800 m³/h for the Comfort 600. For schools, offices and businesses there is the Comfort 1200 with up to 1525 m³/h and the Comfort 5000 with up to 5300 m³/h and a three-phase 3 x 400 V supply.

Ventilation with heat pump: Combi, VPL and HCR

The Nilan Combi Polar units (Combi 302 Polar, Combi 400 Polar Top, Combi S 302 Polar Top) combine a counterflow heat exchanger with approx. 86% heat recovery according to the data sheet with a reversible heat pump that heats the supply air in winter and cools it in summer. In the Nilan VPL15 and VPL28 the heat pump handles the heat recovery entirely, according to Nilan for up to 400 m³/h (VPL15 Top M2) or 1000 m³/h (VPL28). The Nilan HCR 800 T combines a rotary heat exchanger with a heat pump for up to 800 m³/h, for example in classrooms and meeting rooms.

Nilan Compact: ventilation, heating and hot water in one unit

According to Nilan, the Nilan Compact S is designed for a ventilation demand of up to 340 m³/h, needs 0.36 m² of floor space and has a 180 litre hot water tank. The Nilan Compact P2 handles up to 425 m³/h and is also available with an integrated GEO3, GEO6 or GEO9 ground source heat pump or with the indoor part of the AIR9 air-to-water heat pump; the AIR9 outdoor unit is a separate item. For hot water and space heating without ventilation there is the Nilan DHW Air9, for domestic hot water only the Nilan VGU250 M2.

Controls, filters and accessories

With the Nilan Gateway LAN units with CTS400 and CTS602 controllers can be operated via the Nilan User App. Replacement filters are available as Nilan pollen filter F7, filter M5 and bag filters, among others, plus heaters such as the electric preheater. At Nilan, Polar stands for a version with a built-in preheater. It warms the cold outdoor air before it enters the heat exchanger.

Which Nilan unit suits my house?

Can I operate my Nilan unit via an app?

Yes, with the Nilan Gateway LAN, which is connected to the unit's Modbus connection and to the router by LAN cable. According to Nilan it supports the CTS400 and CTS602 controllers.
