Inline duct fans

Inline duct fans are installed directly in circular ventilation ducts and move air over longer distances, for example from internal rooms, basements or workshops. Our range includes Blauberg Turbo, Centro-M, Tubo, Ducto and the acoustically insulated Iso series, S&P TD, JETLINE and VENT, and inline fans from InoxAir.

Design and pressure

Depending on the impeller, the units differ in the pressure they generate. According to the manufacturer, in-duct fans such as Ducto are intended for small and medium airflows over short runs with low resistance. Mixed-flow and centrifugal inline fans such as Iso-Mix, TD or JETLINE generate more pressure and suit longer ducts with bends and grilles. Further selection criteria

• Connection diameter to match the duct, DN 100 to 315 for several series
• EC motor for stepless speed control, or AC motor with overrun or timer
• Acoustically insulated casing as on Iso-RB, Iso-V and Iso-Mix if the unit is close to living spaces
• Air temperature, up to 120 °C on the Blauberg Iso-VK

For many series, for example S&P TD and JETLINE, the manufacturer permits any mounting position. Please check the details on each product.

How do I choose the performance?

What matters is the airflow the fan achieves against the resistance of the duct, not the free-blowing value. Bends, grilles and filters increase resistance.

When does an EC motor make sense?

An EC motor can be controlled steplessly and is a good choice if the fan runs for long periods or the airflow should be adjusted to demand.
