Heating Fittings

Heating fittings ensure that a heating or solar system is filled safely, runs cleanly and is controlled correctly. In this category you will find FAR fittings for heating technology and Resol components for solar thermal systems.

FAR: protection, filling and control

Magnetic dirt separators keep dirt and magnetite out of the heating water and thus protect pumps and heat generators. Automatic filling valves with pressure gauge and pressure reducers keep the system pressure stable. TERMOFAR and SOLARFAR thermostatic mixers limit the temperature, and a zone mixing ball valve with 0-10 V actuator controls individual heating zones. For surface heating there are pre-assembled manifolds with flow meters and heating circuit sets with high-efficiency pump, for radiators the TOPFAR connection set.

Resol: fittings for solar thermal systems

For solar systems, Resol offers flow and return ball valves with thermometer, fill and drain valves, an air separator, a flow indicator, pressure gauges and a circulation pump. The SBS 2000 station with tank and dirt filter is used for flushing and filling, supplemented by a manual filling and dosing pump. Matching controllers are listed under Solar Controllers, manifolds also under Underfloor Heating.

When choosing, check the connection size and thread type, the temperature and pressure range and suitability for water glycol mixtures. In solar systems, fittings, pump and controller should be matched to each other; the Resol components are intended to complement the controllers.

What does a magnetic dirt separator do?

It collects dirt and magnetic particles from the heating water before they reach the pump, valves or heat exchanger.

What does a thermostatic mixer control?

It mixes hot and cold water to a set temperature, in the range of 30 to 65 °C for the FAR models.

Why are fittings important for hydraulic balancing?
