Flat roof penetrations

5 items

Roof penetrations and roof bases for ventilation ducts and roof fans: penetrations for flat and pitched roofs, insulated flat roof bases for roof fans and a roof penetration for decentralised ventilation units in the attic, from InoxAir, S&P and Blauberg.

Ventilation roof penetration: flat and pitched roofs

The InoxAir roof penetration in galvanised sheet steel is designed for roofs with 0° pitch and circular ducts of Ø 100 to 450 mm. For the EW and DW stainless steel duct systems there is the InoxAir roof penetration for stainless steel duct systems with lead base plate and weather collar, available for 0° (flat roof), 5° to 30° and 30° to 45° roof pitch.

Flat roof bases for roof fans

Roof fans are mounted on a base that connects to the roof sealing and carries the fan. The S&P JBS roof base is thermally and acoustically insulated and supplied with mounting accessories and gasket. According to S&P, the S&P ACH ISO flat roof base with 500 mm height fits the TNHB/T and TNVB/T ECOWATT roof fans. Matching roof fans are listed under Fans, for example S&P CTB or InoxAir VRD.

Decentralised ventilation in the attic

With the Blauberg VENTO DD 160 roof penetration, decentralised VENTO units can also be installed in the attic. According to Blauberg, it requires a knee wall of at least 500 mm and fits roof pitches of 16° to 65°. Hood and collar are added on site to match the roof colour.

Planning notes

  • Define the diameter and duct system (galvanised, single-walled or double-walled stainless steel).
  • Clarify roof pitch and roof build-up; the connection to the roof sealing is made by the roofer.
  • For ducts through fire-rated building parts, observe the ventilation system guideline requirements.

Ducts and fittings are listed under Ducts and Fittings, tapes under Tapes and Sealing Tapes.
