Adhesive tapes, sealing tapes and gaskets for ventilation ducts and fittings: aluminium tape, PVC tape, cold shrink tape, mounting tape for flexible ducts, silicone gaskets and clamping bands for stainless steel duct systems as well as butyl-based sealant from InoxAir and Blauberg.

Tape for ventilation ducts

The InoxAir adhesive and sealing tapes are available as aluminium tape 50 mm x 50 m, PVC tape 50 mm x 33 m, cold shrink tape 50 mm x 15 m and aluminium-coated cold shrink tape 50 mm x 10 m. The Blauberg A-band 050/10 is an aluminium mounting tape with PET film from the BlauFast air distribution system. According to Blauberg, it protects against external influences and seals connections of flexible insulated ducts; the application temperature is +10 to +40 °C according to the data sheet.

Gaskets and clamping bands for stainless steel ducts

For InoxAir stainless steel duct systems there is the InoxAir silicone gasket for the double-walled DW system (also as a pressure-tight version up to 5000 Pa) and for the single-walled EW system, as well as the InoxAir clamping band in standard or wide version.

Sealant

The InoxAir butyl-based sealant in a 310 ml cartridge is used for sealing ventilation ducts and can be used from -40 to +100 °C according to the catalogue.

Application tips

• Prepare a clean, dry and grease-free surface; apply tapes without creases and with overlap.
• Observe the application temperature of the respective tape.
• Make push-fit connections of ducts and fittings with gaskets where possible; tape supplements the seal.

Frequently asked questions about tapes and sealing tapes

Which tape is suitable for ventilation ducts?

Aluminium tape is mostly used for spiral ducts and fittings, an aluminium mounting tape such as the Blauberg A-band for flexible insulated ducts. Cold shrink tape fits tightly around the duct when applied.

Does tape replace a duct gasket?

No. Gaskets on push-fit connections provide air tightness; tape supplements the seal or secures connections.
