Right of Withdrawal
14-day right of withdrawal for consumersThis English version is provided for convenience only. The German version is legally binding.
Right of Withdrawal for Consumers
Consumers within the meaning of § 13 BGB (German Civil Code) have the statutory right of withdrawal described below. A consumer is any natural person who enters into a legal transaction for purposes that are predominantly outside their trade, business or independent professional activity.
Traders within the meaning of § 14 BGB (legal entities, and natural persons acting in a commercial or self-employed professional capacity) are excluded from the statutory right of withdrawal. In B2B transactions, goods may only be returned, exchanged or taken back if this has been agreed in writing in advance.
Withdrawal Policy
You are entitled to withdraw from this contract within fourteen days without stating any reasons.
The withdrawal period is fourteen days, starting from the day
- on which you, or a third party named by you who is not the carrier, took possession of the goods,
- if you ordered several goods as part of a single order and they are delivered separately: starting from the day on which you, or a third party named by you, took possession of the last item,
- if the goods are delivered in several partial shipments: starting from the day on which you, or a third party named by you, took possession of the last partial shipment or the last item.
To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must inform us

of your decision to withdraw from this contract by means of a clear statement (for example, a letter sent by mail or an email). For this purpose you may use the attached sample withdrawal form, although its use is not required.
You can also complete and submit the sample withdrawal form or another clear statement electronically on our website using the "Withdraw from contract" button. If you make use of this option, we will send you an acknowledgement of receipt of such a withdrawal without delay (for example, by email).
To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient for you to send your notice that you are exercising the right of withdrawal before the withdrawal period has expired.
Consequences of Withdrawal
If you withdraw from this contract, we must refund to you all payments we have received from you, including delivery costs (except for any additional costs arising because you chose a type of delivery other than the lowest-cost standard delivery we offer), without undue delay and in any event no later than fourteen days from the day on which we received notice of your withdrawal.
For this refund, we will use the same means of payment that you used for the original transaction, unless something else was expressly agreed with you; under no circumstances will you be charged any fees because of this refund.
We may withhold the refund until we have received the goods back or until you have provided proof that you have sent the goods back, whichever occurs first.
You must send back or hand over the goods to us without undue delay and in any event no later than fourteen days from the day on which you notify us of your withdrawal from this contract. The deadline is met if you send off the goods before the fourteen-day period has expired.
You bear the direct costs of returning the goods. For goods that, due to their nature, cannot normally be returned by mail (goods shipped by freight forwarder), these costs are estimated at a maximum of approximately EUR 150.
You only have to pay for any loss in value of the goods if this loss in value is due to handling of the goods that was not necessary to check their nature, characteristics and functioning.
Exclusion or Early Expiry of the Right of Withdrawal
There is no right of withdrawal for contracts:
- for the delivery of goods that are not prefabricated and whose production depends on an individual selection or specification by the consumer, or that are clearly tailored to the consumer's personal needs (§ 312g (2) No. 1 BGB),
- for the delivery of goods that can spoil quickly or whose expiration date would quickly be exceeded,
- for the delivery of sealed goods that are not suitable for return for reasons of health protection or hygiene, if their seal has been removed after delivery,
- in transactions with traders within the meaning of § 14 BGB, because the statutory right of withdrawal under § 312g BGB is available only to consumers.
