Pipe Systems
214 itemsSanha piping systems for drinking water, heating, cooling, gas, solar, refrigeration and industry: press fittings in stainless steel, copper and carbon steel, system pipes, capillary solder fittings, threaded and transition fittings as well as solders, pipe clamps and tools. Which system fits depends mainly on the medium, the pipe material and the pressure. The following guide gives an overview; the binding application limits are stated for each product.
Sanha systems by material
Stainless steel: NiroSan and NiroTherm
According to Sanha, NiroSan (series 9000) in stainless steel 1.4404 is intended for drinking water, heating, rainwater, compressed air and technical gases, for example the NiroSan tee and the NiroSan system pipe. For gas installations there is NiroSan Gas, such as the NiroSan Gas tee, for industrial applications NiroSan Industry and NiroSan SF with red FKM sealing ring. According to Sanha, NiroTherm is intended for closed heating and cooling circuits, technical gases and compressed air and is not approved for drinking water; the matching NiroTherm system pipe is made of 1.4301 or nickel-free 1.4520.
Copper: SANHA-Press, Gas, Solar, Chrome and ACR
According to Sanha, SANHA-Press (series 6000) in Cu-DHP copper is intended for drinking water, heating and cooling, compressed air and technical gases. For gas lines there is SANHA-Press Gas with yellow HNBR sealing ring, for example the SANHA-Press Gas coupling, for solar systems SANHA-Press Solar such as the Solar coupling and for visible pipework SANHA-Press Chrome. For refrigeration, air conditioning and heat pump systems there is ACR Copper Press, such as the ACR Copper Press coupling or the press x flare adapter, and for transcritical CO2 systems the solder fittings RefHP in CuFe2P.
Carbon steel: SANHA-Therm and Heavy Steel Press
According to Sanha, SANHA-Therm in externally galvanised steel 1.0034 is intended only for closed circuits, not for drinking water, for example the SANHA-Therm system pipe and the SANHA-Therm coupling. For thick-walled steel pipes there is Heavy Steel Press (series 70000), such as the Heavy Steel Press tee, and for gas the Heavy Steel Press Gas version. A selection for heating is listed under Heating Pipes and Press Fittings.
Soldering, threads and transitions
Capillary solder fittings of series 5000 in copper such as the CU coupling are soft or hard soldered; solders and fluxes are listed under Sanha solders and fluxes. Gunmetal transition fittings of series 4000 such as the RG tee connect solder ends and threads. According to Sanha, PURAFIT threaded fittings in lead-free silicon bronze, such as the PURAFIT tee, are intended for drinking water and heating among others; PURAPRESS transition fittings such as the PURAPRESS transition coupling connect press ends and threads.
Plastic multilayer pipe
According to Sanha, the Sanha MultiFit system pipe is a multilayer composite pipe made of PE-RT with an aluminium intermediate layer for heating and drinking water installations, plus PE-RT and PE-Xc pipes for underfloor heating.
Which system for which medium?
- Drinking water: for example NiroSan, SANHA-Press or PURAFIT. According to Sanha, SANHA-Therm, Heavy Steel Press and NiroTherm are not suitable.
- Heating and cooling in closed circuits: SANHA-Therm, NiroTherm, NiroSan or SANHA-Press.
- Gas: SANHA-Press Gas, NiroSan Gas or Heavy Steel Press Gas, each within the approved pressure ratings.
- Solar: SANHA-Press Solar.
- Refrigeration and air conditioning: ACR Copper Press, for CO2 high-pressure systems RefHP.
Press fittings and system pipes of one system belong together; Sanha specifies the press jaws and contour for each system. The guide press vs. solder fittings compares pressing and soldering, the guide stainless steel vs. copper in drinking water covers material choice and the guide drinking water hygiene gives hygiene tips.
Note on system pipes
System pipes in bars are shipped as long goods by freight carrier within Germany. You can see the shipping costs in the cart and in the shipping terms.
Frequently asked questions about piping systems
What is the difference between NiroSan and NiroTherm?
Both are stainless steel press fitting systems. According to Sanha, NiroSan is also intended for drinking water, NiroTherm only for closed heating and cooling circuits, technical gases and compressed air.
Can I use SANHA-Therm for drinking water?
No. According to Sanha, SANHA-Therm in carbon steel is intended only for closed circuits. NiroSan, SANHA-Press or PURAFIT are suitable for drinking water.
Which press jaws do I need?
That depends on the system and the size. Contour and tool details are given for the products and in Sanha's installation information, for Heavy Steel Press for example press jaws with MP contour up to 2 inches.
Press or solder?
Press connections are quick and made without an open flame; soldered joints need less expensive tools. The guide press vs. solder fittings compares both methods.
