Radiators & Convectors

14 items

This category brings together Frico electric heaters for living spaces, offices, commercial premises and plant rooms, as well as FAR fittings for hot water radiators. Electric units need no connection to the central heating and can therefore be used where no heating pipes are available. You will find units for supplementary and primary heating of individual rooms as well as accessories for controlling existing radiators.

Electric heaters from Frico

  • Thermowarm convectors of the TWS, TWT, TWTC and TWSC series, some with stainless steel front, plug or integrated control with digital display
  • Finned tube heaters of the 125 and 127 series in IP44, with the 127 series for rooms with a fire risk
  • FML, FMLR and FMS frost protection heaters for stores, pump rooms or control cabinets
  • SH bench heaters for church pews and waiting areas, PF Smart fan convectors and the HC Thermocassette for ceilings
  • TKW ceiling convectors for heating and cooling in 2 or 4 pipe systems

Fittings for hot water radiators

FAR supplies the TOPFAR connection set with thermostatic valve and return fitting, thermostatic heads with liquid sensor and an electronic thermostatic head with weekly programme. Further valves, mixers and accessories are listed under Heating Fittings. When choosing an electric unit, location, protection rating and output are decisive: in damp rooms or workshops, make sure the IP rating is suitable. Frost protection heaters keep rooms at risk of frost just above freezing, while convectors and finned tube heaters heat occupied rooms. For radiant heat over a surface, see the alternatives under Infrared Heaters.

Frequently asked questions about radiators and convectors

How do I set the thermostatic head correctly?

The numbers stand for room temperatures, not heating speed. More in our article Setting the thermostat correctly.

Why does my radiator not get properly warm?

Often there is air in the system. Our guide to bleeding radiators shows the steps.

Is it worth cleaning radiators?

Dust between the fins reduces heat output. How to go about it is explained in Cleaning radiators.
