Duct sensors are inserted directly into the air duct. The S&P SCO2 is available as duct sensor SCO2-K for carbon dioxide with an output signal of 0 to 10 V, the S&P SFT-K-N measures temperature and relative humidity in the duct. For temperatures there is the S&P TG series with duct sensors, contact sensors and room temperature sensors, including TG-K3/PT1000. WANAS offers the duct sensor EXTRA TEMP PT-1000, which measures the temperature downstream of a heating or cooling coil. The S&P SL-101.1 monitors the air velocity in the duct (setting range 1 to 10 m/s), the S&P KRM-X duct smoke detector detects smoke in the air stream.
Room sensors are mounted on the wall. The Blauberg sensors CD and DPWQ/DPWC measure carbon dioxide with an NDIR sensor in the range of 0 to 2000 ppm, VOC or temperature and humidity; according to the manufacturer the DPWQ/DPWC sensors have analogue outputs 0 to 10 V and 4 to 20 mA. The S&P SCHT-AD records carbon dioxide, temperature and humidity and shows the values on a display. S&P AIRSENS is available for CO2, humidity, temperature or VOC, with analogue output 0 to 10 V or 2 to 10 V, relay and Modbus RTU via RS-485. For simple switching tasks there are hygrostats such as S&P HIG-5 N and Blauberg HR-S as well as the S&P SQA air quality sensor with potential-free contact.
According to S&P, differential pressure transmitters such as S&P DPA2500 PLUS, the VCHV set and SPRD-010B are used for constant pressure operation (COP), VCHV and DPA2500 PLUS VV MultiRange also for constant air volume. The mechanical pressure switch S&P DS-400 with a measuring range of 30 to 400 Pa monitors air filter boxes, for example.
For Nilan ventilation units there are sensor kits with CO2 sensor, humidity sensor and pressure transmitter. The WANAS CO2 sensors CO2Control and CO2RControl adapt the ventilation level of WANAS units to demand, the CO2RControl version transmits wirelessly. A duct sensor is installed in a supply or extract air duct and measures, for example, carbon dioxide, temperature or relative humidity there. Examples in this category are S&P SCO2-K, SFT-K-N and TG-K as well as the WANAS duct sensor EXTRA TEMP PT-1000.
That depends on the sensor. According to S&P, sensors with a 0 to 10 V output such as S&P SCO2, SFT or SCHT-AD require a control unit for fan control, for example CONTROL ECOWATT AC/DC, or they are connected to the controls of the ventilation unit. S&P AIRSENS already has a built-in controller.
