According to Sanha, NiroTherm is intended for closed heating and cooling circuits, technical gases, compressed air, rainwater and treated water. According to Sanha, the system is not approved for drinking water, which is why the fittings carry a red dot. The black EPDM sealing ring is fitted at the factory, the maximum continuous temperature is -30 to 120 °C, briefly up to 150 °C, and the nominal pressure is PN 16.
NiroTherm Industry (series 98000) has a red FKM sealing ring. Sanha lists compressed air, technical gases, heating oil and fuels, solar systems and district heating for it, with a continuous temperature of -20 to 160 °C, briefly up to 280 °C.
The NiroTherm system pipe is available in 1.4301 or nickel-free as NiroTherm F in 1.4520, each in lengths of 3 m or 6 m. According to Sanha it is longitudinally welded and pressure tested according to EN 10312 and has fire behaviour class A1 according to EN 13501-1. The fittings have a universal press connection; up to 54 mm, Sanha specifies press jaws with the original SA, V or M contour. Joints that were not pressed are detected during the leak test.
Since 2024, according to Sanha, various NiroTherm items have new dimensions and a changed insertion depth. Items with the new dimensions carry an additional X on the label. Sanha recommends determining the insertion depth on the fitting before pressing and marking it on the pipe. Details are given for each product, for example the NiroTherm tee. For drinking water, choose NiroSan; all systems are listed under Sanha.
