Fan heaters

Fan heaters warm air and distribute it around the room with a fan. They deliver heat quickly and are suitable for garages, stores, workshops, industrial halls and plant rooms. All units in this category are made by Frico, available as portable or fixed electric fan heaters and as units for connection to a hot water heating system.

Electric or water-heated

Electric fan heaters only need a power supply. The K21 is a portable unit for small areas such as garages, holiday homes or offices, while the Tiger is ruggedly built for mobile use in demanding environments. Cat and Panther are permanently mounted. Water-heated units such as Champ, SWT, SWX, Prism and Therma use the existing heating system. Prism and Therma can also be used for cooling.

Consider the environment

• Damp or corrosive environments such as car washes: Elektra C or SWX CS and CE with IP65 protection
• Rooms with a fire risk such as joinery workshops: Elektra F with low element temperature
• Plant rooms and drying rooms: Panther T
• Quiet heating of large buildings: Panther FC and Champ with EC motor

Frequently asked questions about fan heaters

Fan heater or infrared heater?

Fan heaters warm the room air, while infrared heaters warm people and surfaces directly. For individual workstations in high halls or outdoors, infrared heaters are often the better choice, and for living spaces infrared heating panels.

Which units are suitable for entrance areas?

According to Frico, the SWT is intended for entrance areas and sales floors, among others. If cold air enters through open doors, an air curtain is a useful addition.

Do I need a three-phase supply?

That depends on the model. The K21 runs from a standard socket, while Panther FC requires 400 V. The details are given on each product.
