Small room fans extract humid and stale air from bathrooms, WCs and kitchens. This category includes units from Blauberg, such as Sileo, Sileo Design, Quatro C, Auto and Smart, and from S&P, including SILENT and ECOAIR. It also covers single-duct extract units, window fans and in-duct fans.

Choosing the right features

• Overrun timer (code T): the fan keeps running after the light is switched off
• Humidity sensor (H): the fan switches on depending on humidity
• Motion sensor (IR): the fan starts as soon as someone enters the room
• Backdraught shutters as on the Auto model, and 12 V versions for certain installation situations

Also check the nominal diameter of the existing duct, 100, 125 or 150 mm for most units, and the protection rating for installation in the bathroom. The S&P ECOAIR additionally offers adjustable constant background ventilation.

Single-duct ventilation for internal bathrooms

For bathrooms and WCs without windows, single-duct systems to DIN 18017-3 are intended, for example Blauberg Valeo and Valeo2 or the S&P ERL fan insert. Does a bathroom fan help against mould?

Humidity sensor or overrun timer?

The overrun timer is simple and linked to the light switch. A humidity sensor responds to the actual humidity and is suitable if the fan should work independently of the light.

Can I install a fan in a window pane?

Yes, window fans such as Blauberg Wind or S&P HV are made for this. They require a cut-out in the glass. Other designs are listed under fans.
