Description

Nilan Compact S is a compact unit for ventilation with heat recovery, heating and cooling of the supply air and domestic hot water preparation. According to Nilan, the Compact S is designed for single and multi-family houses with a ventilation requirement of up to 340 m³/h and requires a floor space of 0.36 m².

According to the data sheet, a counterflow heat exchanger recovers approx. 86% of the energy from the exhaust air. The reversible heat pump heats the supply air in winter, cools it in summer by up to 14 °C compared to the outdoor air according to Nilan, and uses the energy of the exhaust air for the hot water in the 180-litre tank. According to the data sheet, the CTS602 control with HMI touch panel is included. Available are Standard, Polar (with integrated preheater) and KSF Polar with stainless steel tank.

Features

Bypass: in summer mode (outdoor temperature above 14 °C) the bypass routes cooler outdoor air past the heat exchanger; if this is not sufficient, the heat pump cools actively, provided the active cooling function is activated. The heat removed is stored in the hot water tank.
Hot water: scald protection in the software (60 °C) and legionella function; electric auxiliary heater switched off ex works.
Hot water tank: double-enamelled steel with electronically monitored sacrificial anode, water connections 3/4" at the bottom of the tank; for KSF Polar with stainless steel tank, according to the Nilan installation instructions made of stainless steel with water connections as plain pipes Ø 22 mm.
Frost protection: the Polar versions have an integrated preheater for the counterflow heat exchanger. Without Polar, the control has a defrost function; according to the installation instructions, Nilan then recommends an external preheater (accessory) for longer frost periods.
Accessories according to the data sheet: electric preheater and reheater, pollen filter ISO ePM1 50 to 65% (F7), carbon dioxide sensor, additional board, EM box, sound-absorbing flexible hose, safety group for the hot water tank (also with scald protection), HMI panel extension cable, gateway for the app solution and pallet truck.
