Description

Nilan Sicherheitsgruppe (safety group) is a safety fitting for the cold water connection of a hot water tank. According to Nilan, a safety group must be installed by law; it has two functions when the water expands during heating.

Via a safety valve, it prevents the tank from bursting when the pressure rises during heating; the safety valve drips during heating. A non-return valve prevents hot water from flowing back into the system and mixing with the cold water of the home.

Installation notes
