ISO Coarse stands for filters that separate less than 50 % of particles in the ePM10 range. Instead, the separation efficiency for coarse dust is stated, for example ISO Coarse 70 %. A higher percentage means that the filter retains more coarse dust.
Coarse dust filters retain large particles and coarse dust. They are mostly used as pre-filters, for example in air conditioning systems or upstream of a finer final filter, which they protect from rapid soiling. In ventilation units with heat recovery, G4 filters are often fitted in the extract air.
In this category you will find bag filters of the HSO, HSB and PPL/PPS series, panel filters, filter media on rolls and mats and replacement filters for ventilation units from Nilan, Blauberg, S&P, InoxAir and WANAS. Many filters are available in several classes. You choose the class you need as a variant on the product page. The manufacturer's data sheet is always decisive.

G4 is assigned to the ISO Coarse group. There is no exact conversion because the two standards use different test methods. The applicable ISO Coarse value is stated on the data sheet.
For pollen and fine dust a finer filter in the ePM10 or ePM1 group is usually used in the supply air. The coarse dust filter then serves as a pre-filter.
