Description

S&P MBE Electric Heater Battery: electric heater battery for circular ventilation ducts, in versions B and T and B-R and T-R with integrated control. Options under version: MBE B, MBE B-R, MBE T and MBE T-R.

Features
  • Integrated temperature control (control electronics in the heater); according to the wiring diagram with inputs for an external set point adjuster, a set point reduction of 4 °C, a limit sensor, an external 0 to 10 V signal and the release or run monitoring of the fan.
  • Double safety circuit: in the event of overheating, the heater switches off via the safety thermostats.
  • According to the manufacturer, accessories are required for operation: a TG-K duct sensor for set point detection, run monitoring of the fan (for example DS-400 differential pressure switch or a flow monitor) and a contactor circuit in the supply line (S6 A or S18 A contactor, as surface-mounted or control cabinet version).
  • To protect against contamination and loss of output, S&P recommends installing an MFL air filter box.
  • As further accessory, S&P lists the TG-R room sensor with set point adjustment.
  • MBE: Curves for temperature rise and pressure drop, wiring diagrams and impermissible mounting positions are given in the data sheet.
  • MBE-400/90T-R: According to the S&P safety note, the electrical connection must comply with DIN VDE 0100 Part 420; the heater may only be operated when the minimum airflow is reached and must switch off automatically after a safety thermostat has tripped.
  • MBE-400/90T-R: Wiring diagrams for the series (MBE-___/90 T-R) are given in the data sheet and in the MBE-R operating manual.
