Description

S&P MBW Warmwasser-Heizregister, DN 100 bis 400 is a hot water heater for installation in circular ventilation ducts from the S&P MBW series. The housing is made of galvanised sheet steel with connection spigots and rubber seals; a removable side panel makes inspection and cleaning easier. The air heater consists of aluminium fins pressed onto copper tubes.

According to the manufacturer, the heater should be installed on the pressure side of the fan. The "Model" selection denotes the nominal diameter of the duct connection in mm.

Features
  • According to the manufacturer, screw connections must be provided for the water connection; the heater must be able to be drained and vented during installation.
  • According to the S&P safety note, a frost protection device must be provided which switches off the fan and, if necessary, closes a damper in the outdoor air if the air or return temperature is too low.
  • To protect against contamination and loss of output, S&P recommends installing an MFL air filter box.
  • As accessories, S&P lists the TRW temperature control unit for MBW-100 to MBW-200 (thermostat with 5 m capillary remote sensor and 3/4" straight-through valve, set point 7 to 28 °C, max. 300 l/h) and the THE-F frost protection thermostat, and the PWW-N1 pump hot water control for MBW-250 to MBW-400.
  • Curves for temperature rise and pressure drop and the dimension drawing are given in the data sheet.

Note on variants

The "Model" selection corresponds to the S&P type MBW with the respective nominal diameter (for example 160 = MBW-160, article number 5132864200).
