Description

S&P IBW Warmwasser-Heizregister, Baugröße 200 bis 450 is a hot water heater for installation in rectangular ventilation ducts from the S&P IBW series. According to the manufacturer, the galvanised sheet steel housing with 20 mm standard flange fits the S&P duct fans; the air heater consists of aluminium fins pressed onto copper tubes.

According to the manufacturer, the heater should be installed on the pressure side of the fan. For each size, the types are available in a version with lower and one with higher heating output (suffix -2 or -3 or -4).

Features

According to the manufacturer, screw connections must be provided for the water connection; the heater must be able to be drained and vented during installation.
According to the S&P safety note, a frost protection device must be provided which switches off the fan and, if necessary, closes a damper in the outdoor air if the air or return temperature is too low.
To protect against contamination and loss of output, S&P recommends installing an air filter box.
As accessories, S&P lists the PWW-N1 and PWW-N2 pump hot water controls (hydraulic unit with circulation pump, three-way mixer with 230 V actuator, shut-off valves and LHCC supply air temperature control); the matching unit for each type is shown in the table.
Curves for temperature rise and pressure drop and the dimension drawing are given in the data sheet.

Note on variants

The "Model" selection shows the S&P type: the number after IBW is the size matching the duct connection in the table; the suffix -2, -3 or -4 distinguishes the output levels within a size. For IBW-400-4, IBW-450-2 and IBW-450-4, the data sheet does not list a matching pump hot water control.
