Description
Description
The fothermo solar hybrid boiler is a wall-mounted electric water heater that uses solar power directly for hot water. PV modules are connected to the boiler via MC4 solar connectors without an inverter and without a battery. An integrated MPP tracker controls the PV heating power continuously up to 550 W. If the solar yield is not sufficient, the 230 V backup heater with 1,500 W heats up as soon as the water falls below the minimum temperature set on the thermostat. Without a grid connection the boiler works on solar power alone. The boiler is available with 30 l or 80 l nominal volume.
