Refrigerant and fluorinated greenhouse gases
Refrigerant and fluorinated greenhouse gases
Applies to the versions with refrigerant R32: they rely for their functioning on the fluorinated greenhouse gas R32 (GWP 675). GWP according to Annexes I and VI of Regulation (EU) 2024/573. The water versions do not contain any refrigerant.
According to the WANAS manual, the coil is connected on site to a refrigerant outdoor unit; after a nitrogen leak test and a vacuum test, the system is charged with R32. The charge and CO2 equivalent (charge x 675) depend on the outdoor unit and pipe length. The contractor labels the system with refrigerant, charge, GWP and CO2 equivalent.
Installation only by a certified contractor: Installation, commissioning, leak checks, maintenance and repair of the refrigerant circuit may only be carried out by a contractor certified under Art. 10 of Regulation (EU) 2024/573.
