Description
Description
The AFPRO HSB Bag Filter Series comprises pocket filters with a synthetic filter medium from the HSB35 and HSB55 series. The manufacturer intends both series as pre-filters for HVAC systems and for industry. The filter class according to ISO 16890 is ISO Coarse 70% (HSB35) or ISO Coarse 80% (HSB55).
Some custom sizes carry the older article number HS35 or HS55. According to AFPRO, HS and HSB are equivalent; in Germany only HSB is sold. The data of the HSB35 (ISO Coarse 70%) and HSB55 (ISO Coarse 80%) series apply.

Features
Features
- Dimensions of the standard sizes according to EN 15805 (manufacturer's information for AFPRO pocket filters, catalogue p. 31).
- The article number describes the design, for example HSB35A6-3: frame A = 592x592 mm, 6 pockets, pocket depth 3 = 360 mm. Further frame codes: B = 490x592 mm, C = 287x592 mm. Depth codes: 3 = 360, 5 = 535, 6 = 635 mm; /90 = cross pockets (90°).
- According to the catalogue, the initial pressure drop at nominal airflow is the same for all frame sizes within a series and decreases with the pocket depth: HSB35 40 Pa (360 mm), 35 Pa (535 mm) and 30 Pa (635 mm); HSB55 60 Pa, 55 Pa and 45 Pa.
- For HSB55, the filter area increases with the pocket depth according to the catalogue, for example at 592x592 mm with 6 pockets from 2.8 m² (360 mm) to 4.1 m² (535 mm) and 4.9 m² (635 mm).
- Install with the pockets vertical (upright), as specified by the manufacturer (catalogue p. 142).
- For AFPRO pocket filters in general, the manufacturer describes filter pockets mounted in a steel or aluminium frame (catalogue p. 31).
Note on variants
Note on variants
Select the dimension and the filter class. The dimension is given in mm (width x height x depth). The product comprises the catalogue series HSB35 (ISO Coarse 70%) and HSB55 (ISO Coarse 80%) as well as variants with HSB85 in the article number (ePM2.5 70% or Standard), which are not listed in the AFPRO catalogue 2026. The catalogue gives no performance data for custom sizes, the custom depths 150, 200 and 300 mm and versions with further additions to the article number, for example /P1 (PU gasket on clean-air side) or /20 (special frame 20 mm). Where the catalogue gives performance data for a variant, they are shown with the variant selection; the catalogue gives no performance data for the other variants.
