Description

S&P TH EX comprises explosion-proof roof fans with horizontal discharge from the S&P TH ATEX series with mixed flow impeller and ATEX capacitor motor for 230 V. According to the manufacturer, they are intended for ventilating industrial and commercial rooms in which an explosive atmosphere is likely to occur occasionally.

According to S&P, the ATEX marking for all three models is II 2G Ex eb IIB T3 Gb (equipment group II, category 2 for gas, type of protection increased safety, explosion group IIB, temperature class T3). The motor/impeller unit can be removed for installation and maintenance work.

Features

For motor protection S&P lists the MS-EX protective device (TH-800/200 EX: MS-EX 0.63; TH-1100/250 EX: MS-EX 1.0; TH-1200/315 EX: MS-EX 1.0) for monitoring the maximum motor current, with EC type examination certificate, for control cabinet installation outside the hazardous area.
According to S&P, speed control is not permitted.
Mounting accessories listed by S&P per size are the JBS flat roof base, CAR shutter, MTS flexible silencer and the KAA-EX flexible sleeve with electrically conductive coated fabric for zones 1 and 2: TH-800/200 EX: JBS-300, CAR-200, MTS-200, KAA-200 EX; TH-1100/250 EX: JBS-435, CAR-250, MTS-250, KAA-250 EX; TH-1200/315 EX: JBS-560, CAR-315, MTS-315, KAA-315 EX.
