Description

S&P IBE T is an electric heater for installation in rectangular ventilation ducts from the S&P IBE series. According to the manufacturer, the galvanised sheet steel housing with 20 mm standard flange fits the S&P duct fans; the heating elements are made of stainless steel. Available are the sizes 200/9, 225/16,5, 250/16,5, 285/20, 315/30, 355/30 and 400/50.

According to the manufacturer, the heater should be installed on the pressure side of the fan; the air velocity must be at least 2 m/s, the outlet temperature at most +40 °C. Operation requires a power controller, a duct sensor and fan run monitoring as accessories.

Features

Double safety circuit: in the event of overheating, the heater switches off via the safety thermostats.
According to the manufacturer, accessories are required for operation: a power controller (TTC-2000, TTC-2000 + TT-S1, TTC-40, TTC-40 + TT-S4), a TG-K duct sensor for set point detection, run monitoring of the fan (for example DS-500 differential pressure switch or a flow monitor) and contactors in the supply line (number see table).
According to the S&P safety note, the electrical connection must comply with DIN VDE 0100 Part 420; the heater may only be operated when the minimum airflow is reached and must switch off automatically after a safety thermostat has tripped.
To protect against contamination and loss of output, S&P recommends installing an IFL air filter box.
Curves for temperature rise and pressure drop, dimension drawing, wiring diagrams and impermissible mounting positions are given in the data sheet.
