Blauberg KOMFORT EC DBW S21 DTV

Blauberg KOMFORT EC DBW S21 DTV is a suspended central ventilation unit with heat recovery and a built-in hot water post-heater. According to the manufacturer, it is intended for supply and extract ventilation of apartments, houses and other rooms and is designed for ceiling mounting with mounting brackets. The unit has the built-in S21 control and can be controlled via Wi-Fi with the Blauberg Home app; DTV designates the pre-installed differential pressure switches.

The DBW 550 and DBW 900 models have a polystyrene counterflow plate heat exchanger, DBW 550-E and DBW 900-E an enthalpy counterflow plate heat exchanger, and DBW 2000 and DBW 3000 an aluminium cross-flow plate heat exchanger.

• Double-walled aluzinc housing with 20 mm mineral wool; mounting brackets with vibration-absorbing connectors.
• Spigots on the sides of the housing, with rubber seals; service panel for cleaning and filter replacement.
• Hot water or glycol post-heater: according to the manufacturer, it switches on automatically if the heat recovery is not sufficient for the desired room temperature; the temperature sensor after the coil and the return temperature sensor are used for frost protection of the coil.
• Bypass for summer ventilation with outdoor air and for frost protection of the heat exchanger.
• Polystyrene and aluminium heat exchangers: the condensate is collected in the drip tray and drained; according to the manufacturer, the enthalpy heat exchanger produces no condensate.
• Filter replacement indication according to the filter timer or via the differential pressure switches for filter contamination.
• Built-in S21 control; the control panel is not included in the scope of delivery (available as an accessory: S22, S22 Wi-Fi or S25).
• App control: Blauberg Home via Wi-Fi (Android and iOS).
• Connection to building automation systems via RS-485, Wi-Fi or Ethernet (Modbus RTU and TCP) and to the Blauberg Cloud Server.
• Functions according to the manufacturer: ventilation speed setting, scheduled operation, timer, boost mode and fireplace mode.
• Frost protection according to the data sheet: by cyclically switching off the supply air fan, optionally via a pre-heater.

According to the manufacturer, the installation position must allow condensate collection and drainage as well as unobstructed access to the hinged service panel for filter replacement and maintenance work; service access via the left or right service panel depending on the version.

According to Blauberg, "-E" in the DBW 550-E and DBW 900-E models stands for an enthalpy heat exchanger (heat and moisture recovery). The version "Enthalpy heat exchanger (-E)" designates these models; all DBW models have a hot water post-heater and no electric heater. Air connection direction left or right corresponds to the service side (L/R).
